I'm glad a friend introduced me to this restaurant. I've not heard of it before and it's location is hidden from the main streets.
The staff are very friendly and it is a spacious and well lit restaurant. It takes some time to work through the menu, as there is a lot of choice! Luckily the menu has useful photos of each dish.
The miso soup is delicious and a nice starter, I'd also recommend the dumplings! There are a number of sushi platters available and I think they are great value.
If you enjoy your sushi, I think this restaurant will become a favourite destination. If you are new to sushi, I would recommend this place. The menu helps you spot foods you may already like or may like to try!
Ultimately the food is delicious and great value. I'm tempted to do a sushi of sheffield post, but in short:
More variety and value for money compared to Sakushi
More variety than Edo Sushi. Edo is a fantastic sushi takeaway, but doesn't have any seating
Sushi Express scores highly because of the great food, fair prices and guest friendly menu. They also have a nice loyalty card scheme. We had quite a big meal - keen to try a number of dishes, and the bill was considerably cheaper than other restaurants. A meal that simply put smiles on our faces!
